Terms
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms cover your Byteyard account and the Byteyard service that buys MyPost Business labels for stores using Parcel Pilot. By creating an account or connecting a store, you agree to them. "We" and "Byteyard" mean Byteyard; "you" means the person or business using the account.
The Parcel Pilot plugin itself is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. These terms don't change that licence. They only cover the service at byteyard.com.au.
Your account
- You need a working email address to sign in. Keep access to it, because that's how you get into your account.
- Only connect stores you run or are allowed to manage.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account and connected stores, including the labels they buy.
What the service does
Byteyard connects your store to your own MyPost Business account through Australia Post's partner connection, so labels can be bought, printed, cancelled and tracked from Parcel Pilot. Buying real labels depends on Australia Post approving Byteyard as an eCommerce Partner. Until then, labels from Byteyard are samples that can't be posted.
Labels made while Parcel Pilot is in Demo mode are always samples. They're never bought and never counted towards your plan.
Postage and Australia Post
- Postage is charged by Australia Post to your own MyPost Business account, at your MyPost Business price. Byteyard doesn't charge, hold or refund postage.
- Delivery, lost or damaged parcels, refunds of unused labels and claims are between you and Australia Post, under Australia Post's terms.
- You're responsible for what you send: accurate addresses, weights and sizes, and nothing Australia Post doesn't allow.
Plans and billing
- The free account includes 30 labels bought through Byteyard each calendar month (Melbourne time). Each shipment counts once, however many parcels it has. Cancelled labels don't count.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in Australian dollars, through Stripe, until you cancel.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account page. If you cancel, your paid plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for, then your account moves to the free plan.
- If a payment fails, your account works as a free account until it's paid.
- If we change a plan's price or what it includes, we'll email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before then.
Fair use
Don't use Byteyard to break the law, to send anything Australia Post prohibits, to get around your plan's limits, or in a way that harms the service or other customers. If you do, we may suspend your account, after telling you why where we reasonably can.
Availability
We work to keep Byteyard running and fix problems quickly, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. If Byteyard can't be reached, Parcel Pilot can always fall back to the MyPost Business import file, so you can keep shipping.
Your information
How we handle your information and your customers' delivery details is set out in our privacy policy.
Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Where the law allows it, and apart from those guarantees, our total liability to you in any month is limited to what you paid us for that month, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost sales.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running the service, in which case we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any time you've paid for but can't use.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
